Help Shape the Future of WRA: Volunteers Needed for Leadership Positions

The Wisconsin Repeater Alliance is continuing to grow, and with that growth comes the need for dedicated volunteers who are willing to step forward and help guide the organization.

WRA is currently looking for volunteers to fill several open leadership positions, including:

  • Secretary on the Executive Board
  • Four Board Members-at-Large to serve in leadership and supporting roles
  • Opportunities to become involved in frequency coordination, membership, governance, organizational development, communications, and other areas

You do not need to be an expert in every aspect of repeater coordination or nonprofit leadership to get involved. What matters most is a willingness to contribute, work collaboratively, and help WRA continue building a fair, transparent, and technically sound organization serving Wisconsin’s amateur radio community.

WRA currently plans to hold four meetings per year, with the December meeting serving as the annual election meeting. Our goal is to keep the time commitment manageable while giving board members and volunteers meaningful opportunities to participate in the direction and operation of the organization.

Like most volunteer organizations, WRA succeeds because people are willing to contribute their time, knowledge, experience, and ideas. Volunteers truly make the difference.

Whether your interests are technical, administrative, organizational, or simply helping the amateur radio community, there is an opportunity to contribute.

If you are willing and available to serve, we would love to have you involved. Even if you are not sure which position would be the best fit, please reach out. We can talk about the available opportunities and where your experience and interests may be most valuable.

This is an opportunity to do more than simply hold a position. It is an opportunity to help shape WRA, strengthen frequency coordination in Wisconsin, and build an organization that can serve the amateur radio community for years to come.

Interested in getting involved? Please contact WRA and let us know.

Thank you to everyone who has already contributed their time, knowledge, and support. We look forward to welcoming some new faces to the WRA leadership team.
